Portfolio - Amway China 2007

Genius Laser Technology was contracted to produce an upbeat laser extravaganza for the 2007 Amway china gala dinner.

The show needed to be explosive, colourful, upbeat and WOW the 1000+ audience each night.
 

The laser show was to be performed 6 times and needed to go one step further and give the audience something that they had never seen before.

The opening sequence involved a laser performer called "LASEROID" who was flown from one side of the venue to the other whilst firing lasers throughout the venue from his costume. When he landed onto the stage, lasers where firing from rollerbladers as they zoomed around the stage producing a spectacle of laser beams throughout the venue. The LASEROID character then moved into position and began his show, firing pyrotechnics with laser beams.

The closing sequence to the show consisted of the Laser aerial performance which was perfectly choreographed to music and produced spectacular effects with the aerial performers.

The musical aspect of the show was performed live each night. This meant that all of the laser equipment needed to be linked to time code sent from the orchestra. This allowed the show to run seamlessly each night and also produce a repeatable show for each performance.

There where a total of 16 lasers used for this event.

They included

2.5W full colour laser projectors
5W full colour laser projectors
350mW Cyclops moving head yag lasers
Custom "Backpack laser systems"
laser helmet

All of these lasers where controlled using
a single pc running Pangolin "Showtime".  This systems was running 4 individual channels which controlled each bank of laser projectors and would feed multiple different outputs simultaneously. Other laser systems where also trigged using RF and DMX protocol.
 

The result produced a seamless, and perfectly timed show each night without any hiccups.
