Portfolio - Days in the Dioceses Melbourne Mass

Genius Laser Technology was contracted to provide laser effects and projections along with 4 x inflatable projection spheres for the Days in the Dioceses mass held at Telstra Dome on the 11^th of July 2008. This mass was used as a lead up to the World Youth Day celebrations and the Pope arriving in Australia.

There were over 30000 people at the event.

The idea was to transform Telstra dome into a cathedral.

This was done with the use of laser and lighting throughout the venue.

The lasers where used to project visual content directly onto the football field, this tied in with the content projected onto the inflatable projection spheres and gave a great visual presence to the whole event.

There were 5 lasers used

4 x GLT full colour 3W RGB lasers projectors for all the content on the grass and

1 x 50W yag laser for all the aerial beam effects.

The result was spectacular and the client was extremely happy.
